The YouXin Vertical EPS Block Molding Machine forms expanded polystyrene beads into large, uniformly fused blocks from 2000 mm to 6000 mm in length. Its vertical single-door design minimizes steam leakage and maintains stable vacuum during cooling, producing blocks with density uniformity of ±3%.
Molding Process
EPS block molding follows a precise sequence: fill the mold with expanded beads, steam heating to fuse beads, vacuum cooling to stiffen the foam and reduce internal pressure, then eject the finished block. Vacuum cooling is critical — it shortens cycle time, reduces water content, and ensures dimensional stability for downstream cutting.

Mold Body Construction
Parts in contact with steam are made of rigid steel (Type 20G boiler plate) with welded construction. Inner walls use 0.3 mm stainless steel cuneiform plates for optimal steam distribution. Carbon steel is used for non-contact structural parts. Block fusion quality is monitored by a foam pressure sensor. Optional aluminum silicate fiber insulation improves energy efficiency.
Steam Heating System
Double cross-heating technology: steam enters from the two large sides and discharges from the four small sides during the first pass, then reverses in the second pass. Each side has individual steam regulating valves for precise pressure control.
Vacuum Cooling System
A 2.5 m³ condenser tank with water spraying and sieving units, plus a 15 m³ individual vacuum tank. Two 11 kW vacuum pumps provide rapid cooling — reducing cycle time and residual moisture in the finished block.

Fill Silo, Block Ejection & Weighing
A filling silo near the machine controls material level automatically with sensors. After the cycle, the front door opens and hydraulic ejectors push the block onto a discharge trolley, which transports it to the electronic weighing unit for quality assurance and data recording.
